Open Access Statement

The Journal of Oceania Asia Studies is committed to the principles of open-access publishing under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium upon the work for non-commercial, provided the original work is properly cited. Which ensures that scholarly research is freely available to anyone, anywhere in the world, without financial or technical barriers. We believe that open access to scientific knowledge is essential for advancing research, fostering innovation, and promoting global collaboration in the field of scientific research.

Key Principles of Open Access:

Accessibility: Open-access publishing makes research findings freely accessible to readers worldwide, including researchers, students, policymakers, and the general public. This enables broader dissemination and maximizes the impact and visibility of published research.

Equity: Open access removes financial barriers to accessing scholarly literature, ensuring that individuals and institutions, regardless of their geographic location or financial resources, have equal opportunities to access and contribute to the scientific discourse.

Innovation: By promoting unrestricted access to research findings, open access publishing encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and interdisciplinary research. This fosters innovation and accelerates the pace of scientific discovery.

Transparency: Open-access publishing promotes transparency and accountability in scholarly communication by providing unrestricted access to research articles, data, and methodologies. This enhances the reproducibility and reliability of scientific findings and facilitates scrutiny by the scientific community.

Open Access Models:

Journal of Oceania Asia Studies offers two main open-access models for publishing research articles:

Gold Open Access: All articles published in our journal are freely accessible to readers immediately upon publication, with no subscription or access fees. Authors retain the copyright of their work, and articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium upon the work for non-commercial, provided the original work is properly cited..

Hybrid Open Access: In addition to our fully open-access content, we offer hybrid open-access options for authors who wish to make their articles open-access in subscription-based journals. Authors can choose to pay an article processing charge (APC) to make their articles freely accessible to readers.

Benefits of Open Access:

Increased Visibility: Open-access articles are more likely to be discovered, cited, and shared by researchers and readers worldwide, leading to greater visibility and impact for authors.

Global Reach: Open-access publishing ensures that research findings reach a global audience, including researchers, policymakers, educators, and practitioners, regardless of their location or affiliation.

Public Engagement: Open access enables the general public to access and engage with scientific research, fostering public understanding, awareness, and appreciation of science.

Collaboration: Open access promotes collaboration and interdisciplinary research by facilitating the exchange of ideas, data, and findings among researchers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.
