Journal of Oceania Asia Studies

Publication Process

Journal of Oceania Asia Studies follows a rigorous publication process to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of the research we publish. Our process is designed to uphold the highest standards of scholarly publishing and to provide authors with a transparent and efficient experience.

1. Submission:
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts to the Journal of Oceania Asia Studies through our online submission system. Submitted manuscripts should adhere to our submission guidelines, including formatting requirements and ethical considerations.

2. Editorial Review:
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial review to assess its suitability for publication in our journal. This review evaluates factors such as the scope, originality, and significance of the research presented.

3. Peer Review:
Manuscripts that pass the editorial review are sent for peer review by experts in the field. Peer reviewers evaluate the scientific merit, methodology, clarity, and significance of the research and provide constructive feedback to the authors.

4. Author Revisions:
Based on the feedback received from peer reviewers, authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts to address any concerns or suggestions raised during the peer review process. Authors are given a reasonable timeframe to make revisions and resubmit their manuscripts for further evaluation.

5. Final Decision:
Following the peer review process and any necessary revisions, the editorial team makes a final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Authors are notified of the decision along with any feedback provided by the reviewers.

6. Copy Editing and Proofreading:
Accepted manuscripts undergo copy editing and proofreading to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in language and style. Authors may be asked to review and approve the edited version of their manuscript before publication.

7. Publication:
Once the manuscript is finalized, it is scheduled for publication in the next available issue of the Journal of Oceania Asia Studies. Published articles are assigned a digital object identifier (DOI) and made freely accessible on our website.

8. Post-Publication:
After publication, authors are encouraged to promote their research through various channels, including social media, academic networks, and professional associations. Authors may also track the impact of their published work through citation metrics and other indicators.
